In the #Shoes4aCure designer shoe salon, gala guests had first dibs to shop for footwear brands such as Aquazzura, Daya by Zendaya, Ferragamo, Gucci, Tory Burch, Stuart Weitzman and many more. Also, for the first time, the public was invited to partake the shopping frenzy, which generated even more proceeds to the cause.
The dinner and awards presentation were hosted by television personality and fashion expert, Jill Martin. Sandra Lee was honored with the Jodi Fisher Humanitarian award for her efforts to bring awareness about breast cancer awareness by sharing her own struggle with the disease. The designer of the year award was awarded to Edgardo Osorio and the retailer of the year award was presented to Shopbop.com.
Marc Fisher paid a very special tribute to his father, Jerome Fisher, who was a “FFANY Shoes on Sale” co-founder and also kicked off a text to pledge campaign in his honor which raised $170,000. The grand finale of the event featured a “Best in Shoe” competition, judged by Mosha Lundström Halbert, Fashion Editor of Footwear News, who awarded guests wearing the most chicest, daring and sexiest shoes with a $500 Shopbop.com gift certificate!
