Brands were blushing with soft and bright shades of pink for Spring ’17. At FFANY, women’s brands relied on the girly hue as both a neutral and a pop color, featuring it across categories and with a heap of accent and embellishments.
Coolway turned to sunset shades for its range of deconstructed suede booties. The brand updated popular open-toe boots with light pink suede detailed with cutouts, paisley prints and ankle ties. Coolway’s sister brand, Musse & Cloud, used light pink suede to cover flatform sandals. The spring silo was also embellished with tonal sequins. Another favorite—a leather bootie with cage-like cutouts—was refreshed in blush leather and coordinating crochet.

Paul Mayer revisit classic pale pink quilted uppers for a prim and proper aesthetic, and Gabor told a bohemian story for Spring ’17 with blush pink wedges decorated with tonal floral embroidery.
On the hotter side of pink, brands like Klub Nico offered a burst of jubilant fuchsia mixed with tropical-inspired woven uppers and wood heels. Donald J. Pliner got into the spirit by pairing bright pink elastic uppers with wedge heels covered with pink madras. The new brand also offered kitten heels with bright pink footbeds and featured pink in a range of flower printed sandals. Five Worlds by Cordani also featured the bubble gum hue on statement-making espadrille platforms.
